چکیده

پژوهش پیش رو به بررسی راهبردهای ترجمه در زیرنویس انگلیسی فیلم تنگه ابوقریب بر اساس مدل پدرسن (2011) پرداخته است. در ابتدا، عناصر فرهنگی موجود در فیلم، با استفاده از مدل نیومارک (2010) شناسایی و سپس بر اساس مدل پدرسن تحلیل و توصیف شدند. هدف اصلی این پژوهش، برآورد فراوانی و نوع راهبردهای به‌کاررفته در ترجمه و تعیین رویکرد مبدأمحور یا مقصدمحور درزیرنویس فیلم بوده است. نتایج نشان داد که مترجم در فرآیند ترجمه، عمدتاً رویکردی مبدأمحور اتخاذ کرده است. به‌طوری‌که از مجموع راهبردهای به‌کاررفته، ۴۹.5 درصد مبدأمحور بوده است. این امر نشان‌دهنده تلاش مترجم برای انتقال دقیق مفاهیم و عناصر فرهنگی متن اصلی است. از سوی دیگر، راهبردهای مقصدمحور تنها ۲۷.۹ درصد را تشکیل داده‌اند که بیانگر اولویت حفظ اصالت متن اصلی نسبت به تطبیق مفاهیم با فرهنگ مخاطب مقصد است. یعلاوه، ۲۲.۶ درصد از اقلام فرهنگی با استفاده از معادل‌های رسمی ترجمه شده‌اند، که نشان‌دهنده توجه مترجم به دقت و پذیرش ترجمه توسط مخاطب زبان مقصد است. این نتایج نشان می‌دهد که ترجمه زیرنویس فیلم تنگه ابوقریب، با توجه به محتوای تاریخی و فرهنگی خاص آن، رویکردی متعادل داشته است؛ به‌گونه‌ای که ضمن حفظ وفاداری به متن اصلی، تلاش شده تا برای مخاطب مقصد نیز قابل‌درک باشد.

چکیده [English]

The present study examines translation strategies in the English subtitles of The lost strait based on Pedersen's model (2011). Initially, the cultural elements were identified using Newmark (2010) model and then analyzed and described based on Pedersen's. The main goal was to estimate the frequency and types of strategies used in translation and determine the source-oriented or goal-oriented approaches. The results showed that the translator mainly adopted a source-oriented approach in the translation process. So that, 49.5 percent were allocated to source-oriented strategies. This indicates the translator's effort to accurately convey the concepts and cultural elements of the original text. On the other hand, goal-oriented strategies constituted only 27.9 percent, indicating the priority of preserving the original text's authenticity over adapting the concepts to the target audience's culture. In addition, 22.6 percent were translated using an official equivalent, indicating the translator's attention to the accuracy and acceptance by the target language audience. These results indicate that the subtitle translation of the film, considering its specific historical and cultural content, has taken a balanced approach; in such a way that while maintaining loyalty to the original text, an effort has been made to make it understandable for the target audience.
