Abstract
Language, one of the most important and complete means of human communication, has an undeniable role in the media. This research deals with the representation of discourse referents in commercial advertisements with looking at Lambrechts framework. The result showed the discourse referents in TV and internet advertisements were accessible because they can be seen in a show and video clip form. The type of situational discourse referents were found in advertisements on the radio where in the form of listening media they were accessible from spoken forms. inferentially accessible discourse referents in advertisement were accessible in the posters and billboards. The type of situational referents was observed in the form of texturally accessible.
