Abstract

Emerging social media such as Instagram, which are based on visual communication and narration of daily life, have found a lot of connection with the lifestyle of users. A central component of Instagram is the focus on drama, which can expand the drama lifestyle. The main issue of this article is the representation of conflicts and challenges in the lifestyle of veiled women on Instagram under the title Hijab Style.
For this purpose, we used the semiotic method to analyze the overt and hidden messages of the posts of the veiled faces, and finally, by analyzing the theme, we found the axes of their lifestyle representation. 15 cases were selected with the purposeful and theoretical sampling method. The findings show that active hijab women on Instagram are experiencing a significant change in their lifestyle, which can be traced under ten major components: hijab and covering, chastity in behavior, privacy. Dominance of feminist thoughts, fame and celebrity, welfare and aristocracy, highlighting western lifestyle, dance and music, everyday life and entertainment, fantasy and hypocritical religiosity.
